Welcome
This is our first newsletter for this year. We are looking forward to a more energetic year as the inquiries we are getting from prospects has increased quiet a lot comparing to the same time last year. We also have a very healthy number of orders for installations in the next few months. The market as definitely became more lively and we are looking for a very good year ahead.
Gumnut is Expanding
We now opened an office in Beijing China, released a new version with full Chinese language support and also developed a new web site for the Chinese market. We have very high hopes about this market. Our Indian operation will be up and running by end of March as well.
News on some of our new clients
- Esporta in England is now fully operational running our system from their own Servers to 44 sites all across the country.
- VTC, Hong Kong government’s training school is now operational with 35 computers teaching our system to their beauty and spa therapist students.
- Brilliant Spa in China has asked us to develop a special function to enable them to fast process 1000 clients a day. The clients are coming to their hot springs in groups. This function will be operational in March.
- First client in Pakistan !!!! Al Razi Health Centre in Pakistan has ordered our systems to run in 2 of their centres..
Conversion from our old systems
Letters of offer to convert has been sent to all our clients using the old systems that we had in the market. We are actively encouraging clients to convert to our new system as soon as possible as its getting harder for us to keep supporting the old systems. They do not run on new versions of the Microsoft operating systems as well as having issues working together with some newer versions of Internet explorer and Microsoft Office. We are hoping that the clients will take up our offer and start enjoying the benefits of the new system as soon as possible.
Case management
Our first concept developed 17 years ago will also be added to our new system next month. The case methodology that we have developed has served 100s of Wellness and complementary health clients across Australia for a very long time. But the technology is now old and time has come to convert to our latest technology system.
New features
- Web Booking Interface and currently quiet a few clients are modifying their web sites to make use of this powerful feature that will allow their business to be open 24/7. This enables our clients to offer class and treatment bookings, Gift Voucher and Retail sales on their web sites.
- MYOB Interface. As quiet a lot of small businesses uses this accounting system we are now able to interface all the financial data to it.
- Document management. This will allow businesses to store sensitive documents, images relating to their clients in the client file inside our system securely. All access is controlled and audit logged. Main users of this facility will be more medically oriented companies.
- Set and Forget Marketing this function allows our users to send out periodical emails and SMS messages to their clients automatically using a set selection criteria to generate a list.
Our Developers
Behind the scenes there is a very busy development team at work in gumnut. These 5 guys work very hard to enhance our systems. Last year we had 7 releases and in these releases we had 520 different items. Some were new functions and some were enhancements and some were bug fixes. This just shows how dedicated we are to look after our clientele and also further develop the system.
New User Manual
As our development team does their job it creates another necessity which is to keep our user manuals up to date. We are hoping that in the next 3 months we will be releasing a whole new copy.
Help Desk
Another busy department is our help desk. Dedicated to excellence these guys man our phone lines 24/7 always ready to help. They field about 100 calls a week. As we are dedicated to best service standards we do not put any time limit on how long it will take to satisfy the clients inquiries. They also use tools to login to our clients computers to find out about the issues and solve it quickly.
Webinars
This year we are also starting to have webinars. Our clients can expect more information soon on how to join these. They will be conducted periodically and each one will be dedicated to talk about a specific function of our system like gift vouchers, stock control etc etc.
